The day since rumors ran rampant in the market about the launch of Xbox 720, speculations too started coming in regarding the Microsoft’s trademarked gaming console’s development and its codename. It’s been recently rumored that the speculated codename is nothing but Durango.
Although the name does not sound too sophisticated, but for your convenience, I must clarify the point that it’s merely the rumored codename, and not the official product name for the gaming console.
It’s very certain that the upcoming model too will bear the prefix “Xbox” with it, but as per the hoax this time, it’s going to be unlike the previous case, viz. Xbox 720 Loop.
Some sites have been filled with posts starring discussions about the features of the upcoming model of the greatest ever gaming console ever made. As per the posts, the new Xbox will feature compatibility for Blu-Ray disks, along with the next generation of motion tracking kinetic hardware, and even will bar the use of used games.
However, keeping all the rumors of a transition to complete digitized distribution of games apart, it’s very certain that the games are again going to be distributed in disks only.
The only reason behind this is that the internet speed around the world hasn’t reached that range yet, where we can end up downloading the games in a matter of minutes.
