New Zealand boasts of lots of mountains covered with snow which is ideal for snowboarding and thus the developers chose New Zealand as the backdrop for snowboarding games.
The game is set in the Aotearoa region. Although the developers of SSX never chose real locations as the backdrop of the game, but this time they chose to consider giving a thought of setting some picturesque valleys as the backdrop.
In the new version of the game, there are a total of 24 locations which are mapped by satellites. These are one of the most beautiful descents of the world and all of them have been designed in the same way as they look. Among these mountains, the Mt Wakefield, Aoraki Mt-Cook and Mt Tasman are the most picturesque locations.
Those gamers who have been to these locations will find the tracks in the game to be strikingly similar to that of the real locations.
