Risen 2: Dark Waters Console Version Launch Date Pushed To August

Game developer Deep Silver has recently announced that its semi-open world action RPG, Risen 2: Dark Waters will be available on game consoles some time after the PC version is released. The revised release date for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions has been fixed at August 3, 2012. The developer has also announced the console version will include additional content which won’t be available in the PC version.

This additional content includes an episode called Air Temple supposedly featuring many hours of extra gameplay. In this particular sub-plot, the hero embarks on a mission to discover the lost temple, which happens to be a source of air magic.

Believing rumours suggesting that Eldric, his old acquaintance, was spotted in Antigua, the hero realizes that he must follow his trail in order to find Storm Island, on which the Air Temple is situated.

The release date for the PC version, April 27, remains unchanged. The game will be available in two media- digital distribution and retail. For the former version, a special offer is currently available.

If you pre-order the title via the Deep Silver Shop, you shall be able to avail added bonuses such as a Treasure Isle DLC, a 50% discount on the first Risen title and a 20% discount voucher than be used for future purchases via the online store.

Risen 2: Dark Waters will be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 3, and will available for a retail price of 33.99 GBP (around Rs. 2,855). The PC version which will be launched on April 27 will be available for the same price.
