Action role-playing game Mass Effect 3 eagerly-anticipated Extended Cut DLC is finally available on Microsoft’s Xbox Live Marketplace.
Interested gamers can download the 1.85GB file direct to their Xbox console for free, using the power of their whizzy broadband internet connection.
BioWare, the developer of the third-generation Mass Effect, has announced that Extended Cut does not essentially make any change to the endings; rather it expands on the meaning of the original endings to reveal larger details on the impact of the player’s decisions.
After downloading the free file, you will have to save it just before the attack on the Cerberus base to start all new content provided by the newly released Extended Cut DLC.
The new content will also be made available for other platforms very soon, with the sole exception of the Sony PlayStation 3 console in Europe.
Mass Effect 3, the final chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy of video games, was originally announced on December 11, 2010, and released on March 6 this year for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
