Latest PlayStation and Xbox Consoles might be unveiled at the E3 exhibition in June 2012

As per industry sources, the latest Xbox as well as PlayStation consoles have high chances of being unveiled at the E3 exhibition scheduled for June 2012.

Though rumors pertaining to the launch of the latest Xbox console at this Los Angeles event has been going on for quite some time, this is the first time that an indication from a reliable source has been received that Sony could also be bringing around its next generation gaming console.

This has gained further significance considering that Nintendo is planning to come out with more details of its Wii U at the 2012 E3 after having initially announced it at the 2011 event.

This machine, which has comparable power to the present versions of the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles, has so far received mixed reactions. This does not suggest that one can take Nintendo lightly as the launch of its original Wii, which sold significant number of units, had surprised a lot of market experts.

Sony declined commenting on this report placing doubts on this news as the main priorities of this company in 2012 is going to be on the PS3 and Vita, the former has been, in fact, a very profitable machine for the company, which had come after a long and expensive period of R&D and also a long inception stage, which had seen the device make losses for the company.

Microsoft has also not commented on this issue.
