Fresh Rumors on Xbox720 Talk About Incorporation of Blu-Ray and Kinect2

There have been fresh rumors everyday regarding next generation Xbox 720. They included everything from production of Oban chip to the power of graphic processor. It seems that the rumors have not come to an end.

The latest rumor spread over by Kotaku is that the next generation Xbox will be able to play only Blu-Ray disks. So, finally Microsoft decided to aside the outdated DVD technology.

This switch over should not be a surprise for the people who are aware of a series of advancements that have come up for Xbox. Sony’s Playstation is the first one to adopt Blu-Ray technology. A Blu-Ray disk can certainly be the best alternate with 50GB of its storage space to a DVD which has only 9GB of storage space.

The other interesting speculation is that the Xbox720 will not allow the user to play used-games. Tough it is not clear what system or mechanism Microsoft is going to adopt to put such restriction, but it is clear that it will not allow used-games.

This mechanism of restricting used-games may be favoring the publishers, but it is the worst feature for the users. While this feature helps publishers to get more profits by selling number of first hand games, the users who prefer cheapest second hand-games are at a great loss.

The last rumor pertaining to Xbox720 is that the console will come with the Kinect incorporated in it. This allows the Xbox to detect voice commands and other movements of the user. However, Microsoft has not conformed any of the rumors. It has previously declared that the firm will not have any say with regard to the rumors.
